Honey

 8th Jan 2002 - 18th April 2009

Honey suffered a massive heart attack and died today. We cannot believe that we will never see her again.
She was only 7 years old and had not shown any signs of ill health. The only thing that is comforting us at the moment is the fact that she didnt suffer.
Honey was the prettiest golden cocker that i have ever seen. She was the most loving dog. She loved people so much and thought that everyone she came into contact with were there especially to give her a fuss. She was so easy to love and everyone who met her fell instantly under her spell. We are comforted by the fact that she was such a happy girl- she always had a little waggy tail and the term 'merry cocker' couldnt have been more apt for her. If we had a pound for everytime someone wanted to take her home with them then we would be very rich.
She was always first to greet us when we had been out. She would grab the first slipper she could find and bounce around with excitment with it in her mouth. We will miss her welcome home so much. The house already seems so quiet and empty without her and the other cockers seemed subdued- they obviously miss her too.
She made such a massive impact on us all and we are all devastated. To say that we are going to miss her just doesnt even come close to how we are feeling.
I know that she loved us as much as we loved her. We bought our static caravan especially with the dogs in mind. She has been part of every holiday and special occasion and we have albums full of family times with Honey right there amongst us.
We have loads of memories but they are not the same as having her...

Run free our precious one. You will never be forgotten and will always be 'Honey bunny mummys golden girl'.

This was Honey when we first brought her home at 9 weeks. We had gone to view her black and tan sisters but as soon as we seen Honey we knew she was for us. She had us wrapped around her paw from day one.

I cant believe that i will never see those beautiful brown eyes again.

remember this Hon- we were so proud of you getting best in show.

You wasnt the typical cocker where walks were concerned- you could take them or leave them. You were a little bit lazy and much prefered a snooze or cuddle.
You missed our Bess when she passed away 2 years ago. While we sit here crying you are probably up there with Bess having a great time.
Here you are with your snuggle partner, bess.

What are the others going to do now they havent got you to snuggle up to.

Thank you Honey for being the most wonderful golden cocker in the whole world. We feel truly privalaged to have had you as part of our family.

Good night sweetheart. We will love you and miss you forever xxxxxxx
