Julmared Cocker Spaniels - Quality Home Bred Pups

What to expect when you visit the litter

We do not allow our litter to be viewed until they are at least 4 weeks of age. This is because young pups are very vulnerable to infections and diseases. Also mums are very protective of their little ones and do not like strangers bothering them when they are busy caring for their babies.

The pups are still vulnerable at 4 weeks of age so when you visit us  you will be asked to remove your outside shoes in the passage and we will provide you with a gel to cleanse your hands. You will be able to view the pups and mum and the rest of the dogs as they all live amongst the family. You will be able watch the pups in their playpen and you will be able to stroke the pups but we do not allow the pups to picked up at this stage as they are very small and wriggly.

We operate like this as the pups welfare and safety is our main priority. We have found over the years that all the new families coming to view our pups are very happy with that and not in the least bit offended as they appreciate the fact that we only have the health and welfare of their new family member at heart.

If you are happy it is during this viewing that you will be asked to pay a deposit ( cash only) of £150 and the remainder of £545 ( cash only) does not need to be paid until collection of your puppy. Like most breeders we ask for a deposit as it reasures us that you are serious about purchasing one of our pups and it also reasures you that the puppy is yours and will not be offered to any one else. Please be certain that you are happy with everything BEFORE you pay your deposit as this is not returnable if you change your mind.

We are sometimes asked if you can bring your current dog with you to see how they will get on with the new puppy. I am sorry but under no circumstances will other dogs be allowed into my home when i have a litter of pups.

We have recently had the misfortune of some people coming to view pups who until they were here hadnt explained to us that they were on their 4th litter visit of that day and still had another litter to visit after us. It is totally unacceptable to visit numerous litters on the same day with the possibility of carrying germs and infections from litter to litter. We breeders put blood, sweat and tears into the rearing of our pups and dont appreciate such lack of thought.

Please dont be put off by a few rules as we are extremely friendly and welcoming.

You will of course be able to see the pups from birth in photos. I spend a lot of time and effort in taking pics of the litter every few days and posting them on this site to enable you all to be able to watch as they grow and develop.
You can all also email me as often as you need with any queries about the litter or just to chat. I am particularly proud of the lovely friendships that i have gained through people buying one of my pups.

We look forward to meeting you and introducing you to your new little puppy.
