When you pick up your puppy
We understand that it is a very exciting day for you and your family when the time finally arrives for you to pick up your puppy.
We will give you a time that is convienient to you and would appreciate it if you could come as near to that time as possible. We know exactly where we are when we give you a set time as some of our pups have long journeys ahead of them and we need to plan their meals ahead of time so that they are not eating straight before a long car journey. We want each family to be able to ask any questions and have our undivided attention and this can only be done one at a time, a number of families all turning up at once wouldnt work for this reason.
We will go through the feeding instructions, worming record etc with you. We will have ready your kc documents, insurance, microchip forms etc. You will be asked to sign a contract of sale (See bottom of page for contract).
When you are 100% happy that we have answered all your queries you will then be able to take your little one home. Please remember that we are only a phone call away should you need any help or advise.

Every effort has been made to avoid any possible inherited conditions. Conditions known to be inherited in the cocker spaniel are prcd-pra and Fn.

Section 6: Endorsements
Under kennel club regulations, there are 2 endorsements that may be placed on a dogs record, by the registered owner of the dog, whilst the dog in question is still in their possession. A breeder, therefore, is entitled to place 2 endorsements on a puppy's record with the kennel club. One restricts registration of any of its future offspring (progeny) and the other prevents the issue of an export pedigree.
This dog is subject to the following kennel club endorsements: Progeny not eligible for registration.
Endorsements can only be lifted by the person who placed them, and that person would need to send a written and signed instruction to the kennel club to this effect. The breeder would be willing to lift these restrictions if the purchaser abides by the following:
The dog would need to be Optigen tested (not needed if both the parents were tested clear)
The dog would need to be Fn tested (not needed if both the parents were tested clear)
The purchaser(s) would need to provide the breeder with copies of these test certificates.
The purchaser(s) would need to have the dog hip scored and provide the breeders with a copy of the certificate and only breed from the dog if the score is below the current mean score for cocker spaniels.
The purchaser(s) would need to have the dog kc/bva eye tested and also gonioscopy tested and provide the breeder with copies of the certificates.
The breeder would need written confirmation from the purchaser(s) own vet that the dog is fit and healthy, of sound temperament and up to date with vaccinations and is in good enough condition to be bred from.
Please note that if new genetic health tests become available after the purchase of this dog then the breeder will also expect any said tests to be carried out and proof of said tests shown before the breeder would be willing to lift the restrictions.
